And I am not the only one that is unable to play offline - here is another example. ![]() ![]() So far those who are stating that the game is playable offline haven't shown any evidence of it. The game launches and gets to the main logo, and then prevents me from getting any further (The game window is smaller because it is starting in 720p resolution after I deleted the game's configuration files). Exited the game, disabled the network adapter, and tried to start the game again. Re-enabled my network adapter and started the game - no problems. Then the launcher stalls and the game never starts. "The Rockstar Games Services are unavailable and offline play could not be verified (code 133)." This time the Social Club launcher immediately gives an error message before the game even starts: Test #2 - My second attempt at playing while offline. So I tested it again just now, but I am still getting the same result as yesterday: I thought that possibly someone at Rockstar had seen this post and updated the Social Club launcher to correct their mistake. Update: A couple of people have left comments today stating that they are able to play L.A. ![]() Video showing what happens when trying to play while offline. ![]() There is currently no known fix or patch that reverts the update, and you can't roll back to the previous version either, since Rockstar changed the executable's file name with this update (trying to launch the game from Steam with the previous version will result in a "missing executable" error). Prior to that the game was playable offline.
